Chris Willi/ Block Island
Christopher Willi grew up in a Navy family from Newport, RI and has lived abroad and all over the US. Calling New England his home he moved to Block Island in 1992 while attending the University of Rhode Island majoring in Wildlife Biology and Management.
He started his guiding career in 1998 showing clients the fantastic surf fishing B.I. is famous for. In 2002 Chris opened Block Island Fishworks, a tackle shop and is the headquarters for all the Islands local charter boats featuring all types of fishing. His tackle shop specializes in surf and fly fishing tackle and hosts the annual Block Island Inshore Fishing Tournament each September benefiting the National Childrens Cancer Society and local youth charities.
During the season Chris runs his 20ft Aquasport 'Julia Ryan' from both the Islands Harbors and specializes in Light Tackle and Fly Fishing. Grand Isle Louisiana, Vero Beach FL, and Park City Utah are his favorite off season destinations.
