Our Guide Staff

Each guide has specific skills relative to a certain type of fishing.  Flats style, center console, kayaking, beach buggy, wet wading, or off shore boating it's your choice.  We know no other service on Cape Cod which is this diverse.

Michael J. Mullaney is our fly fishing specialist.  Michael enjoys light tackle and kayak adventures on Cape Cod.  He is a graduate of Germantown Academy and St. Lawrence University.  Michael started his fishing career running a hyde drift boat on the Delaware River.  Michael is extremely personable and is available for fly casting instruction.  Michael handles the guided fishing bookings in relation to many of the major hotel resorts here on Cape Cod.  Michael is also the publisher of the Cape Cod Maritime Guide book.
Robbie Briggs is a Cape Cod native who has been fishing for striped bass and blue fish for over 45 years.  Experienced in fly fishing, light tackle, and more.  He has intimate knowledge of the waters in and around Cape Cod.  Robbie enjoys striper, bluefish, and other near show species such as tuna, false albacore, and bonito.

Whether it is jigging, fly casting, or casting surface plugs Robbie has the professional experience to make your day enjoyable.  Novice and experienced fishers will enjoy spending time with Captain Robbie Briggs.

Mark Haley is also a Cape Cod native and went to Bourne High school.  He graduated from Dean College and when he is not fishing is a local policeman.  Mark concentrates on the Cape Cod Bay fishery.  Mark uses jig and trolling techniques for large bass.

John Galvin Born in suburbs of Boston, spending summers in Woods Hole. Worked at Eastmans Sport and Tackle in Falmouth, MA for 10 years on his days away from fishing. Worked as mate on charter boats in both MA and CC. Graduated from Salve Regina University in Newport in 2005 with degree in Natural Sciences. Recieved Captains license in 2005. Fished from Maine to Florida including Ireland and Bahamas. Participate in  local offshore fishing tournaments each season. Have placed and won money in several of them. Currently own and operate Sound Marine Services based in Woods Hole MA.

Eric Gass grew up fishing the trout streams of Western Mass.  He is currently a student at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.  He spends the summer on Cape Cod and is available for surf cast fishing and kayak adventures.  When not fishing, Eric worked at the concierge station and valet at the Chatham Bars Inn.
Captain Dan Hannon specializes in striper and blue fishing trips in Cape Cod Bay.  His boat is a 32 footer.  Dan uses jigging and trolling to land the larger stripers.  His boat is located at Sesuit Harbor in Dennis, Mass.
Captain Shawn J. Ozolins has been fishing Cape Cod waters since 1988.  A decision was made back then that he knew he his life would revolve around the sea.  He has worked his way up from fishing the local waters around Popponessett Beach and expanding it all the way into the depths of the Canyons.  It all took off one summer when he decided to live on the boat where he earned his first paycheck courtesy of Massachusetts waters.   A few summers of mating on boats quickly enticed him to attain his captain’s license and run the family boat as a charter boat.  Captain Shawn went on to attend Massachusetts Maritime Academy and graduate with a B.S. in Marine Engineering.  Since then he has partnered with his father to purchase and operate the charter boat Reaction out of Hyannis, MA.  When he is not chartering you can find him fishing in several sportfishing tournaments in New England and light tackle fishing in his center console
Michael Mannix is a local school teacher at Mashpee Highschool.  Michael is originally from Buffalo and was the head hockey coach at University of Buffalo for several seasons.  He is a wet wade guide who is familiar with spin casting and live line eel techniques for larger fish within the many estuary systems on Cape Cod.  Mannix and Mullaney play in the Men's hockey league thru the long winter months on Cape Cod.
David Ruddock leaves from Outermost Harbor in Chatham.  He is experienced in fly fishing and light tackle charters on the flats.  Book him early , because he is a popular charter fishing captain.
Jeff Walther specializes in striper stripes in May and June.  As the summer warms up the waters the pelagic species abound on Cape Cod.  From August thru October Jeff chases the blue fina tuna!
Capt. Mort Terry has been fishing and boating in the Cape Cod area for 48 years. He has been a Charter Captain and held a U.S.C.G. Masters Licence since 1992, and has enjoyed guiding fishing trips in the near shore and off shore waters ever since.
He has sailed from Nova Scotia to Panama with his sister Sarah who holds a unlimited Captain licence and is a retired Panama Canal Pilot.
Capt. Mort enjoys fishing in the Florida Keys in the wintertime and enjoys spending time with his two grandchildren (ages5 & 7) and helping them catch stripers. His grandson, Henry (pictured here), just caught his first bluefish with Grandpa Mort last summer on the Fishtale.

The Sea-K II is a 27 foot JC Boat, powered by a Cummins Diesel Engine. The Sea-K II is equipped with state of the art electronics and all Coast Guard approved safety gear. All custom tackle is provided and "yes" we do have a bathroom.
